    This 100+ year old company includes 3 facilities across the state of Illinois. Founded in 1888, this organization focuses on the production and manufacturing of custom gears. Each of their locations has its own machining department and utilizes the latest technological advances. In addition, they strive to be the employer of choice by focusing on bringing their employees together as a cohesive group through weekly meetings, as well as monthly company events (and seem to be succeeding, as their staff has an average tenure of 15-25 years!)  

     

    Currently, the company is looking for a talented Lathe Machinist to work their 3rd shift position at their Addison location.

    Responsibilities

    • Set-up assigned production equipment without supervisor’s instructions                             

    • Loads and unloads own machine, assists and instructs others per supervisor’s request

    • Operate, adjust and upload equipment as necessary

    • Follow all safety requirements at all times

    • Maintain equipment and cleanliness of working area

    • Preform quality checks daily and assist with duties as needed

    Qualifications

    • 2-3 years experience setting up and operating CNC lathes
    • Familarity with vertical lathes a plus
