  • Overview

    This 80+ year old company is looking to add to their team as they make the transition to a next-generation production facility, with a focus on creating the "shop of the future".  With a total of 6 facilities, this organization produces high-performance automotive parts and takes pride in their long-tenured employees. This position will reside in their Torrance location, which houses 300 employees and 80 CNC machines. 

     

    In this role, you will be given the opportunity to be a part of new product integrations.  In doing this, you make a significant impact within the company as they continue to update and evolve into an advanced, more fully automated, manufacturing operation. 

     

    This will be a first shift position from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM with some overtime opportunities available.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform initial set ups for new products 
    • Communicate and relay any software issues to the programming department
    • Train and lead other machinists on new set ups 

    Qualifications

    • Strong set-up experience on 4-5 axis mills
    • Familiarity with NX programs a plus 
    • Ability to train others 
    • Experience with Makino machines and Fanuc controls preferred (but not required)
