Senior CNC Programmer

This company, located in Ventura CA, is dedicated to producing proprietary and industry leading products with a true focus on quality. Taking products from cradle to grave, they serve the fire arm industry in designing and manufacturing after-market weapon modifications. This company has shown continuous growth since it's founding in 2015 and now hosts about 30 employees, all with impressive tenure, and 10+ CNC machines, including HAAS and Doosan 5 axis mills and mill turns.


In this position, you will have the opportunity to put your CAM programming skills to the test using Esprit and Mastercam (another seat with a different CAM system could also be purchased), producing parts in an R&D environment. This is a challenging position requiring excellent problem solving skills and creativity. Within this position, ample training opportunities would be provided, expanding your skill set and helping you grow as a programmer. 


For the right candidate, relocation assistance can be provided. There are also ample opportunities for growth, including the possibility of transitioning into a Programming Lead/Management role. 


This is a 1st shift position with flexible start times, hours within 6AM-6PM M-F. While ensuring a comfortable work-life balance, overtime opportunities become available occasionally.

  • Write programs for vertical and horizontal mills, as well as multi axis lathes using Esprit and/or Mastercam
  • Design fixture and tooling
  • Perform process improvements utilizing lean principles
  • Optimize current programs for cycle time reductions and increased efficiency
  • Work closely with engineers and other departments to develop and improve products
  • Train and mentor other programmers and machinists


  • Advanced knowledge of CAD/CAM software for CNC machine programming (Esprit and/or Mastercam preferred)
  • Experience programming for CNC 5 axis mills
  • Experience programming multi axis lathes
  • Background in fixture and work-holding design
  • Previous experience setting up and operating CNC machines
  • Experience in training and mentoring of others (supervisory/lead experience a plus!)
  • Ability to pass initial and yearly renewal of Certificate of Eligibility (COE)
