CNC Process Engineer

This 2nd generation family owned operation, located in Racine WI, was founded over 60 years ago and produces products serving a variety of industries including construction, agriculture, forestry, and defense. They are dedicated to providing high quality products utilizing over 60 Doosan, Mori Seiki, and HAAS CNC mills and lathes (mostly with Fanuc controls). With 120 employees, some with tenure of 40+ years, the company provides amazing support and benefits to its employees while continuously growing and progressing.  


Due to their influx of brand new machinery with brand new technology, they are looking for an experienced CNC Engineer to come in and take ownership of the new technology and investments. This is a one-of-one opportunity lending itself to something that can be very lucrative. Their hopes are finding someone with a strong CNC programming background and up to par with high end technology to train personnel and drive the company forward. 


In this role you would be responsible for troubleshooting and programming, making improvements to current robotic cells, developing new processes and procedures, and overall helping implement and utilize the high end technology they have to its fullest potential. The machinery you would have the opportunity to work with include brand new Doosan, Mazak, and HAAS fanuc controlled CNC mills and lathes, fanuc robots, CNC grinders and cold saws, and more.


This position offers flexible scheduling, although most work on a 4/10 schedule.

  • Program CNC machine using Esprit
  • Troubleshoot controls and defaults on a variety of fanuc controlled machinery
  • Design, set up, and operate CNC machinery and other process related equipment
  • Improve overall performance of machine shop
  • Develop, implement, and document new process developments and production realization
  • Create SOPs and train others for new processes and procedures
  • Improve run performances
  • Determine when necessary to interact with distributors
  • Provide daily support for problem solving and process improvements
  • Reduce process times, and maximize overall manufacturing abilities and efficiency


  • Strong background in CNC programming using a CAM/CAD system
  • Advanced experience with multi-axis turning machines (set up, operate, troubleshoot, program)
  • Deep understanding of ladder logic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills required to effectively present information, write reports and process instructions
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required with the ability to communicate across various levels of the organization
  • Be organized and able to manage workload and priorities effectively in a positive, team environment
  • Willingness to take initiative on projects and be a team leader
  • Experience working with Doosan twin spindle twin turret horizontal turning lathes is a BIG plus!
