This well-established company spans across several countries including the US, Switzerland, France, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. For the past 84 years, they have produced high quality automatic control valves using over 50 varieties of metals and grades. Currently, they have a head-count of 400+ employees with an average tenure of 16 years. In this position, you would have the opportunity to work at their headquarters located in Costa Mesa, CA. 


In this position, you would be responsible for a variety of tasks such as acting as a liaison between the Research and Development team and the Manufacturing team; helping to process new and revised designs through the documentation process; answering technical engineering questions for Manufacturing, Sales, Inspection, and Assembly departments; maintaining accurate engineering records of existing products; and performing related duties as assigned.

This is a salaried 1st shift position from 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday.

  • Maintain close working relationships with Manufacturing, Foundry, Machine Shop, and Assembly departments to provide engineering support during the manufacturing process for all products
  • Keeps existing products up to date with changing requirements from manufacturing/production including updates to existing drawings, creation, and maintenance of work instructions for manufacturing/assembly
  • Following established procedures, processes new engineering data and initiates engineering change order requests
  • Answers manufacturing questions related to components used in new and existing valve products
  • Enters numerical and descriptive data from prepared bills of material, and documents in various production management programs and engineering databases using established programs and procedures
  • Uses production management programs and word-processing software programs to create, store, revise and retrieve engineering records, documents
  • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas that would benefit from changes and improvements
  • Creates engineering orders and disposition parts for production control
  • Creates and revises engineering documents
  • Fully comply with company rules, policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure safe and effective operations


  • Manufacturing experience through internships while in school or in the workforce with emphasis on machine shop and manufacturability practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering/Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred, OR equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Understanding of the design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, parts and systems
  • Trained in PC operation, applicable computer language, SolidWorks, AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software programs
  • Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematic drawings
  • Ability to read and write manufacturing, assembly, and test procedures and reports
  • Ability to develop technical relationships and act as an interface with internal and external suppliers
  • Ability to compile and maintain accurate records
