This very well funded start up company, currently located in Hawthorne, CA, is revolutionizing the CNC manufacturing of aerospace and defense products by using cutting edge technology to create automation from start to finish. In this role, you would utilize high-end 5 axis mills to design, document, and optimize work-flows to assist in the atomization of processes. This is a chance to develop your complex 5 axis skills with the latest high end machinery as well as develop your CAM programming skills as the position offers extensive trainings. 


Although driven and high paced, the company is dedicated to providing a strong work life balance providing flexible 1st shift scheduling Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM. They also provide above market compensation for all roles.

  • Set up and Operate Hermle and Grob 5 axis mills
  • Design, document, and optimize work-flow
  • Perform process improvements in terms of time and quality
  • Work closely with programmers and quality departments to ensure optimal production of products
  • Perform in process inspections using basic hand tools
  • Manage the tool crib and machine data
  • Develop CNC programming skills
  • Proof programs to ensure excellence
  • Contribute to other projects such as quality, ERP development, and engineering as necessary


  • Previous experience in aerospace and defense manufacturing
  • Strong 5-axis set up and operation experience required (4-axis may be ok too)
  • Ability to edit programs at the machine (Heidenhain and Siemens controls a plus)
  • Ideally have experience in prototyping with quick turn times
  • Enjoys a challenge and has a strong aptitude for machining
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous CAD/CAM programming would be a plus
