This privately owned company located in San Antonio, TX, has been in the business for 40 years designing and producing high end, precision-engineered light fixtures for organizations all over the world. All products are taken from cradle to grave, designed, prototyped and manufactured at their 13-acre 90,000 sq. ft. headquarters. They utilize the latest technology in the machining industry to meet each clients needs and ideas. This company is dedicated to the community of people it employees, which is around 150, ensuring a team of passionate, hard-working, creative, and professional people.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to grow in your machining skills by performing set up and operation of a variety of CNC machines including HAAS and Doosan 3-4 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and mill turns. This is a great learning opportunity as this company is willing to train on all machines.
This is a 1st position on a 4/10 schedule. While ensuring a comfortable work-life balance, some overtime opportunities are also available.

  • Set up and operate 3-4 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and mill turns
  • Edit programs at the machine
  • Perform inspections to ensure conformance of specifications
  • Interpret blueprints for specifications such as dimensions, tolerance & instructions
  • Select and secure holding fixtures, tools, etc
  • Perform daily maintenance of machines


  • 2+ years previous experience in operating CNC machines including mills and/or lathes
  • Experience editing programs at the machine (Fanuc & HAAS controls)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Knowledge and use of measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to learn and grow with the company
  • Mill Turn experience is a big plus
