Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist – Precision Manufacturing
Location: Goleta, CA
Shift: Full-Time (40 hour work week)

A leading precision manufacturing company in Goleta, CA is looking for a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join their high-performing team. Since 2017, this facility specializes in complex CNC machining for industries such as aerospace, medical, defense, and commercial manufacturing.  The company is ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D certified and ITAR registered, committed to delivering quality products with tight tolerances and complex geometries.

In this role, you could work on complex parts running prototype or short runs, giving you the challenge on set ups for multiple parts. Set up, operation, light maintenance, program edits, and more will be part of daily responsibilities.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and other machines as needed
• Perform 1st article inspection
• Select tooling and workholdings
• Troubleshoot problems with the machine or program
• Interpret blue prints
• Adjust speeds and feeds
• Complete daily documentation
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Maintain close tolerances

• 5+ years set up and operation on CNC lathe machines (plus other equipment is beneficial)
• Experience using Fanuc controls and G-code
• Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, indicators, and the like)
• Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints
• Experience programming at the machine preferred
• Eager to take initiative, learn, and contribute in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $28/hour and $39/hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
